Abraham Lincoln: A success Abraham Lincoln has in his life was being a leader in preserving the union during the Civil War and beginning the process of the Emancipation Proclamation that led to the end of slavery in the United States. Abe also had some failures in his life and one of his failures in his lifetime was he was defeated in 1858 for U.S senate for second time.

Anthony: The biggest success of all that she had was her role in the Women's Suffrage Movement, she was quite valuable to the cause for women to start to demand change out of their own societies. Susan B. Anthony believed she could never have failures, she worked to hard for what she wanted and she said in her own words, " Failure is impossible."

Harriet Tubman: Her success in her life was that she helped save thousands of slaves in the underground railroad, her leadership and bravery is what made her so successful. Harriet failed to follow any rules, but people say that was a true inspiration, Harriet said, "Failure is the secret to success."

Wright Brothers: The main success the Wright Brothers had was the creation of the air craft. That success made a million other opportunities for people all around the world. Like with any other inventor there has to be failure behind success. The Wright Brothers failure was that not all their inventions worked the first time, second time or the third time, but all their failures led them to the path of success.

Andrew Carnegie: A successful thing Andrew did in his lifetime was that he built public libraries that are used all around the world today. He also founded the Carnegie hero fund for the United States and Canada in 1904 for the recognition of deeds of heroism. A failure was when his company tried to lower wadges at the Steel Plant. His employees objected, they refused to work and went on strike. Since he was away during the strike, many held him accountable for his manager and employees actions.
Woodrow Wilson: Woodrow suffered from dyslexia and over came it by not letting anything affect him and thought nothing but excel and eventually became a professor at Princeton University. The thing Woodrow Wilson failed at was having the league of nations in affect.

Elizabeth Stanton: Elizabeth's success in life was she was a partner with Susan B. Anthony during the women's rights movements and wrote the declaration of sentiments as a call to arms for female equality. A failure that she had in her life was she wrote a famous paper and even though it turned into a financial failure but turned into a political success.
Andrew Jackson: the biggest success Andrew had was that he found the democratic party, that is very important today. A failure he had in his lifetime was he destroyed the second bank of the United States, leaving the national with out anyone monitoring the money supply.
